Silver Spring MD (American Heart Association) Basic Life Support Instructor Course (11-21-2026)

The BLS Instructor Course prepares the participant to teach Basic Life Support to Health Care workers. As a Basic Life Support Instructor, you will teach and prepare students how to perform BLS as part of a multi rescue team with other trained responders, also with a focus on the cardiac chain of survival. and how to perform High Quality BLS for an Adult child and Infant.

Prerequisite to become an Instructor

Be accepted by a training center

Must be a BLS provider

Must Complete the online BLS Instructor Essentials which can be purchased from (shopcpr.heart.org)

Complete the in-person Instructor Essentials Course

Complete a class monitor teaching your first class ( for class monitor you must have your own course materials and training supplies)
